Yes he’s used a Y cable that is also externally powered, then he created a gold card and started an RUU then copied the rom.zip file from his PC temp folder from the ruu on to the gold card. Next using the Y cable he flashed the renamed ROM.zip file on to his One-X

I have often thought about attempting this but I had tried before with an RUU on a different HTC and had an issue with the MD5 hashes being wrong and then it refusing to load. Looks like you have got past that problem. Also what if any benefit would getting the modem path on be and what exactly does it allow? regards, Phill.

This is just the rough method to s-off the International One X (S720E). When you attempt to s-off this device, you use a “Diag” file, spec. for One X it’s the PJ46DIAG.nbh(0) or PJ46DIAG.zip; put that file on the sdcard and go on like the guy on this video. But since the sdcard has to be signed by HTC to become a “White/smart/javacard, it’s not possible to s-off the One X, further more, nobody has seen a clean Diag file yet. The guy just tried to flash a rom, he used PJ46IMG.zip not PJ46DIAG.zip

Thanks for that info. Please may I ask you… What would actually constitute a ‘dirty’ diag file opposed to a clean one? Is the diag file a hex encoded but logical set of ADB command strings or more of a security key?
Is the Java card basically the same as a Goldcard? I have created a GC for my OneX, extracted ROM & attempted to flash via ‘Y’ cable and it does not work. Is this a case of just needing the HTC code to GC the SD with & pass sigcheck? Why it not leaked yet?!

I don’t really know the exact composition of a Diag file. If you want to see further information, please head on to the One X S-Off threads on xda developers. There have been a couple of developers who tried to flash a clean Diag file via Goldcard with no success. It’s not leaked, and won’t leak in near future because the files can be traced (files are marked with a signature) back to the employee or shop who/which has leaked it. That would end in someone losing his job…

I have also a OTG Cable and a HTC one XL but if i put the Cable in My Phone it says that it is the False Cable for Charging your phone. Is your Phone Rooted?

Goldcar is for Qualcom devices.. You need a HTC singed javacard to bypass the CID check + a legit DIAG file. The real pain in the ass is to find a HTC singed javacard. The one for the HTC Sensation should work as well. If anybody knows where to find it please hit me up.
